How to boost your project development speed without sacrificing quality as a Freelancer or an Agency.

A designer-developer must have the right balance of speed and quality. While most companies that I have worked with like quality the most, it is crucial to maintain enough speed not to bog down the entire project.

One of the ways to ensure that you can maintain quality is to use an iFrame to embed an existing code on your website.

With modern tools such as Wix Studio and AI, you can build almost anything that you can think of, so why use an iFrame rather than building the functionality yourself?

  • Tried and tested solution that you can just plug into your website.

  • Saves development time while ensuring quality.

  • Less things to test and maintain once the website is built!

Think about it: by embedding an iFrame, you are saving time and resources to focus on business-critical areas of the website and making sure everything else is perfect. Having an embed in your website gives you one less thing to worry about.

For example, let's say you want to embed an AI chatbot or want to show testimonials of your business from another website. You can build the entire code on Wix Studio and then test it and then, after building, maintain the code as well, or you can just use an iframe and be done with it.

Using iFrames is extremely useful as an Indie developer or when building a minimum viable product, i.e. when budget and times are both low and the product market fit hasn't been found.

So, without further ado, let's have a look at how to embed an iFrame.

Embedding an iframe on Wix Studio.

  1. Find the iFrame that you want to embed. In my case, I am going to embed Spotify on the website. I think it is a great way to show personality on portfolio websites.

  2. Go to the Shopify playlist that you want to embed and click the three dots, then go to share and then click "Embed Playlist". Make sure to copy the code.

  3. Let's embed this to a new Wix Studio website. Go to "Create New Site" and click "Blank Canvas".

  4. Go to Add Elements, then "Embed and Social", and then select "Embed code" and paste the copied iFrame code.

  5. That's how easy it is! Just click preview and enjoy the music!

So, what iFrames are you going to embed in your next Wix Studio project?
